It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman?

I still get nervous speaking in front of groups of people even after many years of doing so.  If I’m particularly anxious for some reason, I like to wear my special “Superman” boxers to give me an extra boost of luck and confidence.  I know, right.  TMI.  Except that Kim was just pointing out to me that I might be clinging to this particular pair of underwear and it might be time to Let Go.  I don’t know babe; do you really think so?

  1. You can cling to them as long as your trousers don't. Then it will definitely be TMI. What a post to come back to! Seriously, I work hard to keep an organized and tidy home, but just like Monica on "Friends" I have not just one but a number of closets that are stuffed to the maximum with things I never use or use too much. Even though no one knows I keep this junk, I know. Kind of like all the junk in my head no one knows about. Definitely time to clear out all the old insecurities and overused obsessions. Need to keep a fresh, clean closet with just enough useful tools to move forward freely and easily, and fully clothed.

  2. Love it! Thank you for the comments. This one...okay all the C's...are tough for me. Truth is, everything and everyone, including our own physical self, is on loan. We can't take any of it with us in the end, so why cling to it. Simplifying by letting go as much as able makes sense if you stop and think about it. So freeing. Kim and I found the book "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up" by Kondo really helpful when we started letting go of stuff.
